As part of the ImPACT project, it is currently planned to measure the neutron cross-section of Cs (half-life y), a long-lived fission product (LLFP), via neutron time-of-flight (TOF) method using ANNRI in the Material and Life science Facility (MLF) at the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC). Cs (natural Cs, stable) exists as a contaminant in the Cs sample. To make an accurate measurement of Cs, accurate data of the Cs cross-section is required. We have measured the neutron cross-section in the thermal and epithermal energy regions. We will report on the measured cross-section data, resonances, and our methodology.

The JAEA Tokai tandem accelerator can accelerate an ion beam with proportional energy to its acceleration voltage. Therefore the control of an ion beam energy can be automated when the one of acceleration voltage can be automated. We should improve a corona probe to automate the control of acceleration voltage. However the original one was difficult to be applied to the automation by its poor control and positioning precision. We have developed the new corona probe which has an automatic and high precision positioning and enhanced maintainability by new control system, new driven system and new position detection system.

We started to develop a column voltage measurement system for the tandem accelerator. A trouble that the voltage of the accelerator does not rise is a fatal matter to the electrostatic accelerator. It is important to trace the accelerating column voltage in case of such a trouble. To solve this problem, we considered to use load cell sensors in the measurement system. the system well make it easy to find the cause of unexpected accelerator trouble.
